Have you grappled with the thought-whether to accept a partnership with your friend who is interested in your startup? Recently I was reading an article published on Wall street journal, centre for Entrepreneurs, by Kelly Spors and the columnist has raised pertinent questions to be asked to oneself before taking this decision. The partnership in business is a professional relationship and that is very different from the friendship, as we understand. Are you going to hurt your frinedship for the business partnership ? Are you going to hurt your business for friendship ? Do you see your friend as having complementary skills? Or are you just looking at your friend just as a source of finance ?
All the above questions are important for an entrepreneur and it is impossible to find answers that-suits-all. It's the individual who has to get an answer to these questions and then decide.
